These terms govern the hosted ownz.net page builder and its optional software add-ons. The separately distributed open-source software has its own licence.
Use accurate account information, protect your login and only act for an organisation if you are authorised to do so. You are responsible for your account and for having the rights needed to publish your content.
ownz provides a page editor, publishing and hosting. Paid add-ons remove branding, increase storage or connect a domain you already own. Domain registration and registrar fees are not included. Purchases pay for ownz software features; ownz does not collect payments, donations or payouts for products offered by page owners.
These rules cover uploaded content, embedded media and destinations you promote or link to. Do not publish or promote illegal activity, child sexual abuse or exploitation, adult sexual content or services, hate or violent extremism, harassment, trafficking, malware, phishing, scams or spam. Do not infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights, impersonate others, or sell counterfeit goods. Do not use ownz to facilitate gambling, unlawful or unlicensed financial or medical services, weapons, controlled substances or other prohibited or unlawfully regulated sales. Do not evade sanctions, payment restrictions or access controls. We may investigate reports and restrict or remove content or accounts that breach these rules.
You keep ownership of your content and give us permission to store, reproduce and display it as needed to provide the service. Removing a page stops its publication; backups, security records or third-party cached copies may remain as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for any external sites and services you link to.
The free tier requires no payment. Prices and the purchased quantity are shown before checkout; review the final payable amount and any payment-provider or network fees. Current purchases use OxaPay cryptocurrency checkout. Access is granted after payment is confirmed, not merely after returning from checkout. Branding-removal licences are a one-time purchase without recurring charges, subject to refunds and these terms.
Storage and domain-connection add-ons currently last 30 days (monthly option) or 365 days (yearly option) from payment fulfilment. They do not renew or charge automatically. Every purchase starts a separate period; buying again can create overlapping allowances and does not extend an earlier period. To stop future purchases, do not buy another period. Expired allowances no longer count toward your available quota. When a domain allowance expires or exceeds the active slot allowance, that custom address stops serving the page; the connection remains manageable so you can renew or remove it. Refund requests are covered by our Refund Policy.
Paddle checkout is not currently available. If a purchase is later offered through Paddle, Paddle acts as reseller and merchant of record for that purchase. Its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy govern the purchase; ownz remains responsible for the software and product support. Any automatic renewal would need to be clearly disclosed and authorised at checkout. Paddle purchases and refunds must be handled through Paddle.
We work to maintain the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. You may stop using ownz and delete your pages. We may suspend access for breaches, security risks or legal requirements, with notice where appropriate. Stopping use is separate from a refund request. We will date policy changes and give notice of material changes where required. Existing purchase promises and accrued rights are preserved. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights, remedies for defective or undelivered services, or liability that the law does not permit us to exclude.
Contact the ownz maintainers through GitHub. Ask for a private channel before sharing account or payment details. Do not post passwords, payment credentials or personal documents in a public issue.
